ASUS launches Chromebook Flip CX5 (CX5400)

This week, ASUS released the new ASUS Chromebook Flip CX5 (CX5400), equipped with the latest Chrome OS version and the 11th generation Core i7 processor. This Chromebook is equipped with an Intel Irix Xe graphics card and uses a very mature and durable shell. The machine complies with the US MIL-STD 810H standard, so it can withstand basic bumps and drops.

This laptop is equipped with its own USI stylus, which can be inserted into the case. After docking, the stylus will automatically charge, and the charging speed is very fast. Asus said the stylus can be used for up to 45 minutes after 15 seconds of docking.

This Chromebook is equipped with a 14-inch LED-backlit FHD touch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Storage options include 128, 256 and 512GB PCIe M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD. Memory options include 8GB and 16GB 4266 MHz LPDDR4x RAM.

A microSD card reader, an audio combo jack, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port and two Thunderbolt 4.0 Type-C ports are provided on both sides of the fuselage. Connectivity includes dual-band WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. The device cooperates with the Google Titan C security chip for login and privacy protection.

The price of ASUS Chromebook Flip CX5 (CX5400) at ASUS Store online is approximately US$1050. It will be released soon in the second half of 2021.
