AirPods 3 will be released with iPhone 13

According to the latest report from DigiTimes, the third-generation AirPods will be released along with the iPhone 13 series. The report as a whole echoes the previous report, that is, AirPods 3 will start mass production in August this year. In a new report, DigiTimes stated that certain components required by AirPods have already begun to be shipped in small batches and will increase in the third and fourth quarters of this year.

AirPods 3 is expected to adopt a new design, which is closer to AirPods Pro in appearance. The new headset will support wireless charging and Hey Siri. According to the spy photos shared by 52Audio, the domestic media, the ear handle of AirPods 3 will be further shortened, and the charging box will be wider and more consistent with the AirPods Pro shell.

Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman recently stated that he believes that Apple’s event for the upcoming iPhone will be held in September. Due to the global health crisis, Apple held an event for the iPhone 12 in October last year, but the company is likely to resume its September event tradition this fall. Gurman also said that the third-generation AirPods will be launched later this year.
