Edge 92 stable version released

The stable version of Edge 92 was officially released today, and Microsoft officially released a blog post as usual, detailing the main features added to the new version. The first new feature introduced in the blog post is mainly for users who need to prepare for returning to school.

Bing has added a new Back to School Center to summarize and categorize product lists based on search results for easy discovery and comparison. In addition, the center is linked to other shopping functions in Edge, providing price reduction notifications, price history, coupons, product recommendations, and more.

Password Health

Edge 92 has a new Password Health console, allowing users to manage their passwords and ensure the integrity of their certificates. This tool allows users to check whether the saved password is a strong password or whether it is reused, enabling them to set a strong password. Users will also be notified if their saved passwords are broken, enabling them to change their passwords immediately.

Allow Mobile Login

Another feature added to password management is that through the mobile Edge browser, users can log in to the mobile application with the saved account password. This means that password management tools can be used to log in to applications such as Instagram, which enhances the usability of this feature.

Brand New Outlook Extension

Microsoft has also officially introduced a new Outlook extension for Edge, appearing in preview form. The extension allows users to quickly view, draft or search emails, check to-do lists and calendar invitations, etc., right in the browser’s pop-up window, without the need to navigate to a dedicated application or Outlook web application for quick operations. The service is not associated with a specific version of the browser and can be downloaded from the add-ons page.

Other Functions

Other small feature additions include the ability to save network screenshots to existing or new collections, making it easy to organize screenshots in the browser for later use. The company also added support for reactions to news items on the new tab page, allowing users to react and comment on news items. The company added that the feature is limited to some markets and is expected to expand to more regions in the next month.
