iPad Mini 6 is expected to use Mini-LCD panel, Apple is actively stocking

Apple’s suppliers are producing Mini-LED panels for upcoming MacBook Pro devices and iPad Mini devices (presumably iPad Mini 6). In this paid report, Radiant Optoelectronics will begin mass production of backlight units in the third quarter of this year and plans to expand in volume in the fourth quarter.

Compared with the traditional backlight method, Mini-LED can provide better contrast, higher brightness level, and a better black. As early as 2020, Tianfeng Securities analyst Guo Mingchi predicted that the new iPad mini model will be equipped with a Mini-LED backlight. Earlier in July, Bloomberg reported that the iPad mini 6 will be launched in the fall.

In June, a leaked rendering of the iPad mini 6 showed that the device has a slim bezel and does not have a main button like other current iPad models. On Tuesday, a report stated that the new iPad mini will use the same A15 chipset as Apple’s iPhone 13 series.
