Streaming media giant Netflix is creating a live-action drama of the world’s top IP Pokémon. The project is currently in the early production stage, and the casting has not yet been made public. According to Variety, Joe Henderson will serve as the editor and executive producer of the live-action series Pokémon. He previously served as the executive producer of another Netflix series Lucifer.
In 2019, Nintendo cooperated with Warner Bros. to launch the live-action film Detective Pikachu, which became the most successful game adaptation film. I don’t know if Netflix’s live-action Pokémon episode will choose to continue the background setting of Detective Pikachu or whether it will choose a new route.
