Apple today released macOS Monterey 12 developer preview beta 4 update to macOS users with version number 21A5294g, this update is one week after the last release. This update mainly brings live text function to Mac computers with Intel processors, which was originally exclusive to M1 Mac computers.
Live text is included in the upcoming macOS Monterey, iOS 15 and iPad OS 15 updates, allowing users to interact with text in images, such as phone numbers, addresses, etc., and allowing users to copy text to other applications.
Apple initially stated that the live text function can only be used on M1 Mac computers, but now it does extend to computers with Intel processors. You can download the latest version through Software Update in System Preferences.
