For Beta channel users in the Windows Insider project, today Microsoft released the Windows 11 Build 22000.100 preview update. The Windows development team said please pay attention to the known issues in the preview version, so as to understand the experience problems that the new preview version may bring. Microsoft also said: Currently, Insider members of the Beta channel cannot use the Chat feature based on Microsoft Teams, but Microsoft said it will open it to Insider users of the Beta channel in the next few weeks.

This preview version mainly brings some improvements to the taskbar. For example, Microsoft finally updated the ejection of the system tray. As you probably know, the system tray includes some icons that only appear when you click the expand button. As shown in the screenshot below, this pop-up window now has a modern interface.

In addition to visual improvements, Microsoft has also updated the default touch keyboard icon in the taskbar to match the size of other icons. Similarly, the calendar pop-up in the Windows taskbar has also been updated, and now when you click the notification center button, it will collapse or minimize.

Build 22000.100 is improving the alert model of Windows 11 taskbar icons. As shown in the screenshot below, Microsoft is exploring a new design for application reminders. This new design is visible when the application requires the user’s attention. For example, if a file transfer requires you to take action, the Explorer will automatically start flashing on the taskbar. However, the flash will be calm and subtle. In fact, it will eventually stop and a red backplane will appear.

The Microsoft Store has also been upgraded in this preview, including optimizing the navigation experience, so the scrolling feel will be smoother. When you open an application or movie list, new animations will appear. The notification center, formerly known as the action center, is getting a new feature that will give you quick access to the focus assist settings. You can also configure focus assist from the quick settings or main settings application.

The following is a list of other improvements in Build 22000.100 (KB5004300).
