Known Issues

  • Some users of ad-blocking extensions may experience playback errors on Youtube. As a workaround, temporarily disabling the extension should allow playback to continue.
  • Some users still encounter this problem: all tags and extensions will immediately crash with a STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_HASH error. The most common cause of this error is the outdated security or anti-virus software of vendors such as Symantec. In these cases, updating the software can solve the problem.
  • Users who have installed the relevant extension Kaspersky Internet Suite sometimes see that web pages such as Gmail cannot be loaded. This failure is due to Kaspersky’s main software has expired, so it can be resolved by ensuring that the latest version is installed.
  • Some users still see favorites being reused. This problem should be reduced now because automatic data deduplication has been introduced to the Insider channel, but we are still launching it in the stable version. We will also see that when manual deduplication is run on multiple machines, duplication will occur before anyone machine has a chance to fully synchronize its changes, so make sure to leave between the runs of the deduplication Allow enough time.
  • Some users see “swing” behavior when using trackpad gestures or touch screen scrolling. Scrolling in one dimension will also cause the page to scroll back and forth in another dimension. Please note that this only affects certain websites, and it seems to be worse on some devices. This is likely to be related to our ongoing work to restore scrolling to be consistent with the behavior of the Edge Legacy classic, so if this behavior is not desirable, you can disable edge://flags/#edge-experimental-scrolling Flag to temporarily turn it off.
