More than 20% of users are still using Android third-party ROMs

Compared with Apple’s closed iOS, the Android system is much more open. Flashing is also one of the reasons why many people choose Android phones. 20% of users are still using it. The Android Authority recently conducted a survey and investigated the source of the system ROM used by everyone on different platforms such as the website/Twitter/oil soil turtle, especially the custom ROM modified by a third party.

Looking at the overall situation, more than 40% of users have used third-party ROMs, 37% have never used them, and 21.8% are in use, which is quite a lot.

Of course, these are only the statistics of the Android Authority. Originally, their user group is relatively active. There are more people who have flashed or flashed their phones, and the proportion of all Android users who are still using flashing ROM will be much less.

However, from this survey, many people have used flashing ROM before. Although there is no detailed reason, everyone has flashed because the official ROM is not easy to use, and there are many restrictions. The second is that the third-party ROM is streamlined and smooth and even Root, lifts all kinds of restrictions.

In the past few years, there have been fewer and fewer Android users who flashed the phone. Domestic Android systems such as MIUI/EMUI/ColorOS/Origin OS are much more powerful and easy to use. Of course, the most important thing is that the flashing ROM is basically blocked by the government, otherwise, it will be fun. There will be many more.
