Due to chip shortages, Ford delays the delivery of Mach E

According to the latest report, Ford recently sent an email to the owners of the Mustang series Mach E vehicles in the United States, stating that it will be from July 5 to October 1, 2021. For car owners who place orders in Japan, the delivery time of the new car will be delayed by about 6 weeks. In order to compensate these car owners, Ford gave users an extra 250kWh of free charging credit, which can allow the Mach-E to travel about 1,126 kilometers.

In an email, Ford stated that the global shortage of semiconductor chips has affected the production of automobiles, and some chips are in short supply. For car owners who book Mach-E, the delivery time of the new car will be delayed by at least 6 weeks. Once the scheduled car gets the required chip, Ford will immediately notify the user by e-mail and inform the specific estimated delivery date. The free charging credit provided can be used on Ford’s own Blue Oval charging network.

There are currently 5 models in this series. The standard endurance rear-drive version has an output power of 201 kilowatts, the GT version has an output power of 359 kilowatts, and the acceleration time per 100 kilometers is 3.65 seconds. In addition, the long-range version of this car has a cruising range of up to 619 kilometers.
