The pusher NEXTGEN_ishere broke the news that Activision will officially announce Call of Duty 18 on August 19. Although this questionable tweet was later forced to be deleted due to the copyright owner’s DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act), Tom Henderson, a well-known uncle party, told the DualShockers that he had verified some of the details with four sources.
He received news that Activision does plan to announce Call of Duty 18: Pioneer on August 19th. The details of this event will be shared with some media and content creators later today but must sign a strict Confidentiality Agreement.
Henderson also revealed that he had seen the first image of Call of Duty 18. He said that the image depicts World War II soldiers rushing to a beach protected by barbed wire, palm trees burning, and American bombers diving in the air.
Call of Duty 18: Pioneer is led by Sledgehammer Studios. It has a single-player campaign, a multiplayer mode and a zombie mode. It is set in the European and Pacific battlefields of World War II. The plot revolves around the birth of modern allied special forces.
