July 2021 is the ninth month after the launch of the PS5 console. The sales advantage of the PS5 over the PS4 in the same period has increased by 399,837 units, leading the sales to 619,720 units. It was also 9 months after the launch, the total sales of PS5 was 10,479,928 units, and the total sales of PS4 was 9,860,208 units.
PS4 sold 20 million units in 17 months, 30 million units in 25 months, and 40 million units in 31 months. Up to now, total PS4 sales have reached 116.3 million units. In the historical sales ranking of game consoles, the first is the Sony PS2 console, with sales of more than 157 million units.
