Samsung launched a new Eco² OLED screen

Samsung held a new Galaxy product launch conference on August 11 and officially released the new flagship folding phone Galaxy Z Fold 3. The machine supports IPX8 waterproof, and is equipped with an under-screen camera, and supports an S Pen stylus.

Samsung Display announced today that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is accompanied by a new generation of low-power OLED screens, which are efficient, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly. It is reported that Samsung Display’s new Eco 2 OLED screen (compared to Samsung’s latest screen) can reduce power consumption by another 25% and increase light transmittance by 33%.

Eco 2 OLED technology was first applied to the foldable display on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, and it also contributed to the application of UPC (under-screen camera). Samsung Display said that as the light transmittance of the display increases, it can provide more light to the camera module in the panel, thereby ensuring the application of UPC technology.
