A few days ago, Mozilla released the Firefox 91.0 version update, which adds Microsoft SSO, Simplify Page Printing and other related functions and improvements. This version also adds Switch-to-Tab support in the browser window. But this feature also has a problem, that is, regular browser windows can display tabs from non-private windows, and vice versa. Now, Mozilla has fixed this issue with a small update.
According to the update log, the privacy window will disable the Switch-to-Tab function, and the tabs from the privacy window will not be displayed in the regular window in the future. Mozilla was hesitant from the beginning as to whether the privacy window supports the Switch-to-Tab function. The reasons are as follows:
- If the user accepts and opens the non-private suggestion of the tab in the privacy window, when they switch to the tab, they may think that they are using private browsing. This caused confusion.
- There is a problem with switching tabs between private and non-private windows.
In Firefox 91, the company provides suggestions for switching to tabs in private browsing. This has caused a step backward, and now users can only see the result of switching to the tab with a mixture of private and non-private. Mozilla has been able to reproduce this problem and has fixed it.
This update solves another issue where the label title appears too high when displaying certain page titles including Unicode mathematical symbols. This dotted version also comes with a security fix.
