AT&T TV streaming service will be renamed DirecTV Stream, effective August 26

According to the latest report, the AT&T TV streaming service of US telecom operator AT&T will officially be renamed DirecTV Stream. This is an agreement between the company and TPG Capital to spin off the business. New changes, the name of the new company is New DirecTV, AT&T holds 70% of the shares, and TPG holds 30%.

According to official sources, the current opening information of the AT&T TV App shows that the name change will take effect on August 26. Users who have previously subscribed to AT&T satellite, streaming media or IP video will retain the service without any adjustments.

The AT&T TV service was officially launched in 2020, and the official also provided a supporting Android TV box. Users can watch TV programs through the Internet, and also support subscriptions to HBO programs. The subscription price for this service is US$49.99 per month.
