Google confirms that Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 will be discontinued soon

With the upcoming launch of Pixel 6/Pixel 6 Pro and the recent launch of Pixel 5a, Google has quietly discontinued the previous generation of Pixel devices. Today, a Google spokesperson confirmed to Digital Trends that the Google Store will continue to sell Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 until the inventory is exhausted but will not be restocked.

Currently, Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 are sold out in the Google Store in the United States. A Google spokesperson said: In view of the current situation, after the launch of Pixel 5a (5G), Pixel 4a (5G) and Pixel 5 will be sold out in the next few weeks on the Google Store in the United States. Pixel 5a (5G) is the most good choice. Compared with Pixel 4a (5G), it offers considerable hardware upgrades and a lower price.

According to the report, this will also apply to markets outside the United States where Google officially sells Pixel phones. Pixel 4a will continue to be sold as a lower-cost entry-level price point for Google Pixel.
