Windows 10 21H2 will be released soon

Although Microsoft has focused its development on the Windows 11 system, the company promised not to give up Windows 10 users. Recently, for members of the Windows Insider project, Microsoft released the latest preview update Build 19044.1200 for Windows 10 21H2 (October 2021 Update).

Add WPA3 H2E standard support

In this preview version, support for the WPA3 H2E standard is enabled. This will enable Windows 10 version 21H2 or newer to access enhanced Wi-Fi security features optimized for consumer and business use.

Enhance Windows Hello for Business

In this preview version, Windows Hello for Business is gaining a new feature that will allow businesses to use cloud trust technology to enable support for simplified passwordless deployment.

Improve WSL

For consumers and developers, Microsoft is introducing support for GPU computing in Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL). The performance of the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) is not as good as a mature Linux distribution.

But it is slowly getting better. Microsoft has been working hard to improve Linux support in Windows, and today’s update adds support for computing support, which has been supported in hardware and Linux for many years.

In theory, this feature will enable developers interested in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) workflows to achieve better performance. For example, you will be able to smoothly run ML workloads on the entire GPU, and it is supported by Nvidia. WSL will also receive updates directly through Windows Update, and it is expected that there will be more features in the coming months.

Other Improvements In Windows 10 21H2

  • Fixed the issue of brightness issues that may cause standard dynamic range content when broadcasting live on a display with a high dynamic range (HDR).
  • Fixed that due to the docking station, the external monitor would display a black screen after sleep.
  • Some people will notice small performance improvements after applying the latest update of the 21H2 version because Microsoft has fixed multiple memory leak bugs.
  • Fixed an issue that may prevent users from using certain functions to minimize the application.
