Netflix tested Android gaming service in Poland

As early as May this year, there was news that Netflix would enter the game field; related rumors reappeared in July this year, and hinted at the 2022 release plan. A week later, Netflix itself confirmed these reports and announced that it is indeed entering the gaming space, but did not disclose more details, only that the games included in the service will be provided for free. Now, Netflix is testing its Android game service in Poland.

As revealed by the Twitter account of Netflix Poland, the company has launched a game service in the country. Currently, it only has two games, namely Stranger Things: 1984 and Stranger Things 3: The Game. These games make sense because they belong to Netflix’s well-developed Stranger Things intellectual property (IP) and are already available in the Google Play store.

Here, we can get more answers about how Netflix will distribute the game. As you can see from the screenshot above, the game will be displayed in the Netflix application, which basically acts as an installer. After downloading the game from the Play Store, you can launch it directly from the Netflix app.

It’s worth noting that Stranger Things 3: The Game is priced at $9.99 on the Google Play Store. However, if you are a Netflix subscriber, you can download these two games for free, which is a good saving for those interested in mobile games. Netflix has confirmed that there will be no ads or in-app purchases for any games on its service.
