Although it is possible to experience the native Android system, each generation of Pixel series phones has defects of one kind or another in the hardware. Pixel 5a 5G is no exception. The most feedback from users is the overheating of the device. According to user feedback, the phone will issue an overheating warning when recording 4K 60fps, even when recording 1080P 30fps.
The camera application is not the only cause of overheating of the device. Android Central reported that Pixel 5a 5G will overheat in other daily things. For example, taking a lot of photos and short videos, playing games, or even browsing Reddit. It is normal for the phone to become hot in this situation, but not to become very hot or trigger these warning notifications.

Someone noticed the similarity between Pixel 5a and Pixel 5 in terms of specifications and internal design. Therefore, it may not be a coincidence that Pixel 5 is reported to generate more heat than usual when in use. Unfortunately, this may imply not just a software problem, but a design flaw.
According to reports, Google is already investigating the matter but is not sure if it will declare it a bug, or just like the screen gap of the Pixel 5, declaring it is an intentional feature. It is said that the Pixel 5a also exhibits some of the ghost images shown above, although this situation does not seem to be as common as overheating.
