Unreal Engine 4 successfully ported and Unreal Engine 5 will be ported

Today, Loongson Zhongke announced that in the near future, Unreal Engine 4 has been successfully ported to the Loongson 3A5000 platform, marking a solid step in the ecological construction of LoongArch towards the digital game field. As a state-of-the-art game engine, Unreal Engine provides a large number of core technologies, data generation tools and basic support that game developers need.

In addition to games, Unreal Engine is also the world’s most open and advanced real-time 3D creation tool. On this open and extensible platform, users can have unlimited creative freedom and experience immersive 3D effects.

There are countless games developed using Unreal Engine, including Final Fantasy VII: Remastered Edition INTERGRADE and other mega-series such as Green Forest Rogue: Outlaws and Legends, Ark 2, Back 4 Blood, Blockbuster games such as The Callisto Protocol, Century: Ashes, Eve of the Star Wars: Valkyrie.

During the adaptation and migration process, Loongson Zhongke engineers conducted in-depth research on Clang compiler adaptation, Loongson platform localization acceleration, hardware differentiation and other issues, ensuring the smooth operation of Unreal Engine 4 (version 4.25) software on the LoongArch platform Smoothness, and the Loongson 5000 terminal’s support for high-dynamic game scene rendering.

After the successful transplantation, the majority of Godson users can realize the game design and development, digital modeling of film/architecture on the Godson 5000 terminal, and use the real-time technology of Unreal Engine for simulation training.

Officials said that in the future, Loongson will focus on manpower to continue to make breakthroughs in the migration of C++ and blueprints on Unreal Engine 4, and carry out the overall migration of Unreal Engine 5 at an appropriate time to continuously improve the user experience.
