As we learn from WABetaInfo, the developers are working on a redesign for the contact or group card that appears when you tap a contact or group’s profile picture in the chat list. The WhatsApp team has moved the info button next to the contact name and the profile picture is no longer square while the new design seems to give the interface a more modern look overall.
This functionality is still under development and at the moment there is no information on when it will be made available to all users through its implementation in a stable version of the app. We remind you that the WhatsApp team is also working on a new system for requests to review bans, among other things.
