Drake’s new album breaks multiple records on Apple Music

According to the reports, Drake’s latest album Certified Lover Boy broke multiple records on Apple Music within 24 hours of its release. The Canadian rapper’s sixth album went live on Apple Music on September 3 and quickly had an impact in the audience. Soon after it became available for listening, the album set this year’s record in many respects.

Apple told Billboard on Friday that Drake broke the record for the most album traffic in less than 12 hours in 2021, but the final 24-hour statistics have not been confirmed. The album also broke the record held by Kanye West once-Donda received 60 million streaming views within 24 hours after its release.

The release of this album also makes Drake the artist with the most single-day traffic on Apple Music in 2021. In addition, it also tops the list of the best albums on Apple Music in 145 countries. Apple Music further pointed out in a subsequent update that the songs in this album also made the 100 daily charts in 51 countries and swept the top 21 in 18 countries.

Three of them are Apple Music’s debut tracks, including Girls Want Girls, little Baby, Champagne Poetry and Fair Trade. The success of Drake Records is not limited to Apple Music, it is also Spotify’s single-day highest-traffic album.
