Grand Theft Auto Underworld announced the termination of development

The UG team announced today that it will cancel the Grand Theft Auto Underworld project. Grand Theft Auto: Underworld is an oversized MOD that originally planned to integrate San Andreas, Liberty City, Vice City, Grand Theft Auto 1, 2, Bulley Rooney and a custom map into one In a big map.

Due to the increasing hostility against the MOD development community, our personal and financial dangers are imminent. Therefore, we regret to announce that the development of Grand Theft Auto Underworld will be officially terminated, and the previously uploaded files will be removed as soon as possible.

This situation is not surprising. Since July, Take-Two has removed this project (and other Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas MOD works). Now that the fate of Grand Theft Auto Underworld has come to an end, the development team wants to make a game of its own. I wonder if their new project will finally bear fruit.

Other popular Grand Theft Auto mods should also go to this end. Take-Two recently even initiated a lawsuit against the authors of the reverse Grand Theft Auto 3 and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. It seems that MOD is really blocking the vendor’s fortune.
