Microsoft publishes supporting documents explaining to the public how to enable TPM 2.0 for Windows 11

Criticisms of Microsoft are often unjustified, but when it comes to explaining the system requirements of Windows 11, the company’s approach is shocking, especially when it comes to the requirements for TPM 2.0. Now, only a few weeks away from the start of Windows 11, Microsoft decided it is time to provide more help.

In a supporting document, the company explained what TPM 2.0 is with intuitive slides and guided text, but more importantly, the document also reveals how to check whether your computer has TPM 2.0 and how to enable it.

Microsoft wrote a simple technical document aimed at helping users who cannot upgrade to Windows 11 because their computers are not currently enabled with TPM 2.0 or their computers can run TPM 2.0 but are not configured to do so.

The publication of this guide means that Microsoft itself is very aware that not everyone knows what TPM 2.0 is, but it can only correct this error to a certain extent. This article is entitled Enable TPM 2.0 on Your Computer. It first explains two ways to check TPM compatibility, and then explains how to enable the feature (if it is available here).

In a tweet from the Microsoft support account, the company also specifically linked to this TPM guide. But this tweet is also a clever guide to enable TM 2.0, breaking it down into three simple steps. Hope this guide can help more people upgrade to Windows 11.
