Google Clock and Spotify latest update solve the alarm problem

Peace has returned between Google Clock and Spotify: in recent days the two applications for Android have received updates that have solved the annoying problem with alarms encountered by numerous users, with an accompanying (and understandable) rain of reports.

Last week we told you about the problem that was affecting Google Clock and Spotify: many users were complaining because the alarms set on their smartphones were not shown or sounded as they should, with consequent inconvenience, even at the work level.

The malfunction essentially occurred in cases where users had set their Spotify playlist as the alarm sound instead of the default ones. Already on September 3, on Reddit, Google had confirmed that it was aware of the problem and had promised a quick fix. In the meantime, he had suggested users stem it by changing the alarm sound in favor of one on the device.

The solution came on September 8 with the release of new updates for the Google Clock and Spotify apps. The first to move was the Big G app, which automated the “palliative” solution suggested to users: pending the definitive fix and Spotify update, the playlists set as the alarm sound are automatically replaced by Google Clock (version 6.4.1 ) with a default sound.

On the same day, as mentioned, an update for Spotify also arrived and shortly after Google spoke again on Reddit to confirm that the problem was solved. Here is the comment posted:
