A handy calling feature could come to all Google Pixels

Hold for Me is the name of a handy feature launched last year by Google on some smartphones of the Google Pixel series and that in the last few hours the Mountain View giant has decided to expand in some new countries.

Launched on the Google Pixel 5 and Google Pixel 4a (5G) at the end of September 2020, in the following months Hold for Me also landed on the Google Pixel 3 series, until now only for users in the United States. In the past few hours, the Mountain View giant has decided to expand this functionality also for users located in Canada and Australia.

We remind you that Hold for me is a feature based on Google Assistant and designed to make the waiting experience during a call more pleasant for users, as it uses the assistant to wait the time necessary for the telephone operator to answer.

A classic example is that of a call to customer service: when the user is put on hold for a telephone operator to answer, he has the possibility to enable Hold for Me and devote himself to other activities, with the peace of mind. to be notified by the service when someone is ready to speak at the other end of the line.
