It’s called Discover the song and it’s a new Amazon Alexa skill designed to allow users to relax and have fun together. As its name suggests, Discover Song requires users to play by guessing the title and artist of the most popular songs, earning points for each correct answer and climbing the community rankings.
As explained by the developers, each correct answer guarantees 20 points while a wrong answer involves a deduction of 5 points. These are the various possibilities:
- 10 points for guessing only the artist
- 15 points for guessing only the title of the song
- 20 points for guessing both the artist and the title of the song
- 5 points are subtracted for each wrong answer
To play you can take advantage of one of the three available skills: Alexa open Discover the Song, Alexa start Discover the Song or Alexa start Discover the Song.
And to provide your answer you need to say the following sentences:
- The song is TITLE of ARTIST
- I think the song is TITLE of ARTIST
- It should be TITLE of ARTIST
- TITLE ARTIST
The team of developers is keen to clarify that there are over 2,000 songs with which it will be possible to play Discover the song, expanding your musical knowledge and discovering new artists, from the most recent up to the great classics of Italian music.
Discover the song provides the first 200 songs for free, specially selected from the most successful songs and allows users to purchase 3 additional paid packages containing over 1800 songs, in order to increase the level of difficulty (and, of course, the fun). These are the three packages:
- Large package (900 songs) for € 6.40
- Medium package (600 songs) for 4.80 euros
- Small package (300 songs) for 3.20 euros
