Facebook released Portal Go

Facebook announced the mobile version of its Portal video chat device, Portal Go, with the goal of challenging Amazon Alexa and other smart speaker products on the market. Portal Go is equipped with a rechargeable battery and can be used without plugging in a power outlet. This means that Portal Go will enter the tablet market represented by Apple’s iPad, but Facebook insists that its main use is video conferencing.

Facebook will have to convince consumers why they need to buy Portal Go. Many tablets also provide the same features. Many consumers already have tablets, and portable smart speakers may not be able to attract their interest. The price of US$199 is also lower than that of the iPad, and the price of the low-end version of the iPad is US$329, but the price of the official model and the Android tablet is much lower.

In regular transactions, Facebook rose 1.78 US dollars, an increase of 0.5%, to close at 357.48 US dollars, and once touched up 360.04 US dollars during the intraday, an increase of more than 1.2%.
