According to the latest report, Microsoft today withdrew the KB5005101 cumulative update pushed for Windows 10 because this update will cause the application to fail to open. This update was released on September 1 and fixes many issues such as Bluetooth headsets, Japanese input methods, USB audio, HD external displays, etc. It is applicable to Windows 10 2004, 20H2, 21H1 and other versions.
Specifically, the KB5005101 update will cause the application to close unexpectedly or become unresponsive when it is opened. Some users report that the window becomes pure white when some programs are opened. Officials said that the bugs caused by this update only appeared on devices using Microsoft Exploit Protection Export Address Filtering (EAF). All versions of the Windows 10 system, and Windows Server 1809 and above will have this failure.
Microsoft has revoked this update through the Known Issue Rollback (KIR) function, and enterprise users can seek the administrator to fix it through Group Policy.
