Apple allowed users to rate pre-installed iPhone apps in the App Store

For a long period of time, the Apple App Store did not allow users to rate or comment on the built-in apps (such as mail, music, news, stocks, and calculators) of the Apple iPhone and iPad. However, since the release of iOS 15 earlier this month, Apple seems to have lifted this restriction.

At present, Apple’s official App has received a lot of user feedback. According to statistics, the Podcast App has a score of 2.0, which is currently the lowest. Apple has not officially announced this change, but due to imminent competitive pressure, Apple may open this policy because third-party apps are not allowed to hide ratings.

Users can score any third-party deletable apps, but core system apps such as phone calls or messaging apps are not under user control. You can click here to view Apple’s official App in the Apple App Store. Most apps score between 3 and 4 points.
