Today, EA’s official website released an announcement on the active game promise of Battlefield 2042, hoping that players can join the fair game camp to combat cheaters.

Battlefield Community Charter

Be kind to others and respect every player-form a team together to achieve the goal of the game and work together in solidarity. We will not tolerate player’s negative behavior or aggressive behavior towards other players.
- Fair game-stand on the side of justice. If you see any violations by players, please report them immediately.
- Share appropriate content-don’t do anything sloppy. Please make sure that the content you share is suitable for the “Battlefield” player community.
- Act honorably-protect your team members. Follow the rules of the game in “Battlefield” and don’t participate in or encourage dangerous or illegal behavior.

Active Play
Active gaming is to ensure that you optimize your social experience while playing Battlefield 2042. There will be a variety of tools and features to help you define the gaming experience for yourself.
- You can block or unblock players in the game to ensure that they cannot send you messages or voice chats.
- The indecent text filter in the game will always be on.
- You can mute the text or chat in the game through the option. You can choose to mute individuals, all players, or chat.
- You can report a player directly from the game without switching out of the game to operate.
Battlefield Portal (battlefield portal) will also provide players with various administrator tools, such as the ability to implement continuous bans in the community experience you create.
Report
We require players to stand on the side of justice when disputes arise and maintain a fair and just attitude. If you see any violations by players, please report them immediately and we will proceed to investigate and collect evidence. This helps to maintain a healthy and uplifting community environment, and we are very grateful for your help.
For Battlefield 2042, we have adjusted the reporting process to make it more efficient. You can report offending players at will and return to the game immediately. To ensure that you can understand the differences between the different reporting tools, we will outline them here:
In-game
- The speed of reporting players is faster than the previous “Battlefield” series of games, and now you can follow the steps below directly in the game:
- Select the player to report from the player and squad list or social menu

- Choose the reason for reporting: abusive text chat, abusive voice chat, cheating/exploiting loopholes, negative sabotage behavior, offensive player name or harassment
- Choose to submit a report: If necessary, you can also add additional comments.
If you report a cheater, what happens next?
The player told us that it was not clear what would happen after the cheater was reported. Therefore, we have made some changes for “Battlefield 2042” to ensure that you can understand the subsequent process after submitting a report:
- If you report a cheater, we will notify you in the game that we have received your report.
- If we take a response to the report, we will notify you via email that the cheater has been punished.
Fair Play
DICE attaches great importance to maintaining a fair game environment in Battlefield. In short, this means that we will not tolerate any cheating, and we also have a dedicated team responsible for preventing, identifying and punishing cheaters.
In Battlefield 2042, our first plan to ensure fair play is to choose Easy-Anti Cheat (EAC) as our anti-cheat tool. EAC’s ability to identify cheaters is already obvious to all, and it has an excellent performance in games such as “Apex Legends” and “STAR WARS™: Fighter Squadron”. It turns out that it is also very suitable for ensuring your privacy and security.
Another change in Battlefield 2042 is related to the cross-platform game function. When a cheater is punished, he will be immediately disconnected in the middle of the game and permanently prohibited from being used on all platforms. As always, we can still use IP and hardware bans when necessary.
In order to ensure a fair game environment in the community, we have implemented a zero-tolerance rule. There is no warning or temporary suspension of cheating. If you don’t follow the rules, you will be cleared out. Any actions taken on your account can be represented through EA Help.
Finally, ensuring a fair playing environment and confrontation with modern cheating methods is a continuous commitment of ours, and we will stick to it after the game is officially released. Although as a player you cannot pay attention at any time, after the game is released, we will continue to invest time and energy to develop internal anti-cheating capabilities and technologies to enhance the efficiency of third-party anti-cheating solutions and provide players with multiple layers Defend and ensure a fair game environment so that every player can enjoy the game.
During the beta period from October 6th to 10th, as well as the full version of Battlefield 2042 in November, we will apply Easy Anti-Cheat anti-cheat tools.
Host-Mouse & Keyboard Support
We have received questions about mouse and keyboard support for the host. What we can confirm at present is that there will be no support on the console when Battlefield 2042 is released, but we are still studying how to provide support for this option and its impact on cross-platform games. If there is any change, we will notify you as soon as possible.
