The camera macro mode is one of the main new features of the iPhone 13 Pro, which is used to shoot objects very close to the iPhone. Although most users have been using the macro mode to shoot flowers and grass festivals, doctor Tommy Korn found that the iPhone 13 Pro’s macro camera can also be used for eye treatment.

In an article on LinkedIn, the ophthalmologist shared a story of how he used the iPhone 13 Pro Max macro mode to examine the eyes of patients. With the macro mode, Korn can take detailed eye photos, allowing him to observe and record important details of the patient’s health.

The doctor showed a case of a patient who underwent a corneal transplant and now needs to constantly check whether his eyes are healing.
