Apple releases iOS 15.0.1, fixed bug of unlocking iPhone 13 with Apple Watch

Apple has released iOS 15.0.1, the first iOS 15 update that arrives two weeks after its launch in the past few weeks. This update was released to primarily fix an Apple Watch bug that affected new iPhone 13 owners. Apple also released a new version of iPadOS 15.0.1.

As highlighted in recent weeks, iPhone 13 owners could have displayed a message on their smartphone that signals the impossibility of communicating with the paired Apple Watch, or not even be able to configure the function. Those who encountered these problems did not have many alternatives: disable the “Unlock with Apple Watch” and use the passcode.

The update, as usual, is available in OTA (Over The Air) mode directly through the Software Update menu in Settings. To download it is necessary to be connected to a Wi-Fi network and it is advisable to have at least 50% of the remaining charge. On iPhones with 5G connectivity, it is also possible to download the update via the cellular network after having previously activated the ability to do so via network settings.

Furthermore, iOS and iPadOS 15.0.1 also fix a bug that could cause a warning to be displayed incorrectly in Settings indicating that the storage space is full and fixes an issue that could cause “meditation” to start unexpectedly on Apple Watch for some Fitness + subscribers.
