Microsoft Windows 11/10 Edge Canary browser 96 adds PWA Hub application center

According to the latest report, Microsoft announced that it will provide new design features for the Edge 96 browser on Windows 11 and Windows 10. It is currently only available in the Canary channel of the Edge browser.

For small groups of users, Microsoft is testing a new design to better manage the web applications you install. When you enter edge://apps in your browser, the redesigned center will now be displayed, listing installed PWAs and websites as applications.

You can now sort the applications by any of the following.

  • Recently Used
  • Alphabetically, based on the title
  • Installation date

You can also arrange applications in a list or grid view.

In addition, you can easily pin the application on the taskbar or “start” menu. You can create a shortcut and make the application run when the user logs in. In addition, there is now a way to easily access the following.

  • Permissions and privacy details of relevant sources
  • More details about the app

If there are no major issues, the Edge upgrade design should be released to the Dev channel within 2-3 weeks.
