Snapchat is currently experiencing a global outage. It is currently not possible to send photos and videos via the social platform.
Update 13/10/2021: Snapchat announces via Twitter that the problems have been solved and everything is working properly again.
After the hours-long outage that hit all Facebook apps last week, it’s Snapchat’s turn, the platform where users can share photos and videos that are only temporarily visible to recipients. The website of allestoringen.nl shows that thousands of complaints have been received since 12.30 pm. Tweets with #snapchat and #snapchatdown are also pouring in on Twitter.
The issue has been fixed! If you’re still having trouble, please let us know. Happy Snapping!

The problems seem to be mainly related to sending photos and chatting. The Stories still work for many Snapchat users. A few months ago, the platform also had problems. Then the app kept crashing. Snapchat is aware of the issues and has announced they are working on it via Twitter.
We’re aware that some Snapchatters are having issues using the app right now – hang tight, we’re looking into it!
