As reported by colleagues from videocardz, NVIDIA has already informed partners about the new version of the GeForce RTX 3080 with 12GB of GDDR6X VRAM, a move that in most cases indicates that the manufacturer is quite close to launch.
Assuming that we are talking about information yet to be confirmed, the alleged GeForce RTX 3080 12GB could arrive together with the other models expected for the refresh of the RTX 30 series (RTX 3090 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti 16GB), ie at the beginning of 2022. NVIDIA currently has no comment on the story, but given the latest marketing moves – also followed by AMD – we cannot exclude that the cards will arrive separately, thus creating some doubts about the possible launch dates.
