According to the latest reports, several months after officially discontinuing this smart speaker that is difficult to reach mainstream applications, Apple has deleted all content about the original full-size HomePod from its website. Deleting the content of the original HomePod is the result of a brand new change to Apple’s website. With the new changes, Apple now only emphasizes the HomePod mini, and the device now has a new color.
Apple announced in 2018 that HomePod is its first home-centric product, focusing on providing high-quality audio and integrating it with services such as Apple Music and Siri. It was priced at US$349 at launch, but it eventually fell to US$299. This was because sales were lower than the company’s possible target and attracted more consumers. In addition, Siri, which powers the HomePod experience, is still struggling to catch up with the capabilities of Google’s smart assistant and Amazon’s Alexa.
