Google Search introduces a new feature for curious users

The Google Search developer team continues to work on improving this popular platform, starring last week in important news related to mobile devices. In the past few hours, with a post on the official blog, the Mountain View giant has announced the introduction of another nice novelty, which will be particularly appreciated by the most curious users.

In practice, through the Google app for Android, users will have the opportunity to register to receive daily notifications that help to learn new words and some of the interesting facts related to them: for example, it will be possible to discover that the word benefactor derives from the Latin bene facere, which means do good.

Users interested in taking advantage of this new function of the search engine of the Mountain View giant have to do is look for the definition of any English word (for example, by typing in the search bar define serendipity) and then click on the bell icon that appears at the top right.

The Google team is keen to clarify that at present this new feature is only available in English but this makes it equally useful for example for students or for those who, in any case, speak this language well. In addition, the programs of the Mountain View giant will soon introduce the possibility of choosing different levels of difficulty.

Many users will probably decide to take advantage of this new function of the Google search engine to expand their vocabulary, develop their language skills or simply satisfy their desire for curiosity. The hope is that the developer team of the Mountain View giant decides to implement it also for other languages, including Italian. We’ll see.
