Earlier reports said that Microsoft had considered acquiring Sega more than a decade ago, but we finally failed to see its realization. Even so, the Redmond technology giant has maintained a very friendly and close relationship with Sega in recent years. For example, when Xbox Series X | S was released, Long 7 also landed on the company’s next-generation game console platform in the name of escort. Soon after, the Xbox Game Pass subscription service has ushered in several other Dragon games.
Sega said that this partnership mainly revolves around how the company uses the power of Microsoft Azure to build large-scale games in the next-generation development environment. Based on this, this well-known Japanese game company is expected to advance its Super Game plan. As a mid-to-long-term strategy, it aims to create global, online and community-centric games.
Then use Microsoft Azure cloud technology to provide a gaming experience that caters to a large number of audiences, and the two parties will also work together to improve the development process, network infrastructure, and online communication services and related tools during this period.
