Microsoft today announced the launch of the Azure OpenAI service, which means that customers will be able to easily use OpenAI’s GPT-3 machine learning model on Azure. As the pioneering language model of OpenAI, under appropriate conditions, you can even input a few brief prompts to make GPT-3 output human-like text. However, Azure OpenAI is still in a stage of limited experience, even if you are willing to pay, you have to wait for a while.
Microsoft said that Azure OpenAI is now only by invitation and suitable for customers who plan to implement well-defined use cases, including application scenarios such as using artificial intelligence technology to develop response strategies. Microsoft will provide customers with security monitoring and analysis support to find cases of errors or abuse of GPT-3. And the introduction of filters to ensure that GPT-3 based chatbots will not offend.
It should be pointed out that OpenAI itself already provided the GPT-3 API last year, and Microsoft is also using GPT-3 to provide support for GitHub’s Copilot auxiliary programming tool. Even so, Microsoft still believes that its own Azure OpenAI solution can bring additional security layers, access management, private networks, data processing protection, and expanded capacity advantages.
