Google Drive improves the file search system and adds a new widget on Android 12

The Google Drive team has announced that they are busy introducing some changes that should help users find the files they need more easily and quickly. In the past few hours, in fact, with a post published on the official blog, the developers announced that they have released a new beta version that should guarantee users a search experience similar to that offered by Gmail.

As explained, the new system should help users see results that are most relevant to what they are actually looking for. In fact, during a search on Google Drive, some keywords are often used to try to locate the desired file, such as marketing plan or sales report, which could return too broad a result.

The new system, after entering a query, allows you to take advantage of special filters such as the type of file (such as a Google document, PDF or image), people, position when the document was last modified, the title, labels or status (approved or pending approval). This new feature will be available to all Google Workspace, G Suite Basic and Business users.
