Windows Insider users in the Dev channel can now test and run Android apps on Windows 11

Microsoft announced that users of the Dev channel in the Windows Insider project can now test and run Android applications on the Windows 11 system. The Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) submodule released a few weeks ago was limited to Beta channel user testing, but now Microsoft has announced it to Dev channel users.

Although this news may excite the Insider of the Dev channel, the current Android applications on Windows 11 are quite limited. We put together some of our favorite applications, but many key players are missing, including Microsoft’s own applications such as Minecraft, Outlook, and even Teams.

At present, the WSA submodule is applicable to the Dev and Beta channels in the Windows Insider project. If the test is stable, it should be opened to users of the Release Preview channel in the near future, and then to users of the stable version.

Microsoft promises that more applications will appear soon. There is also the fact that WSA does not officially support Google Play services. This means that many popular applications such as Snapchat and Chrome will not run on Windows 11. However, some developers have successfully cracked it to make it run in an unofficial manner.
