Microsoft Office will support users to synchronize their favorite fonts across platforms

According to the latest reports, Microsoft will introduce a modern font selector experience in its Office suite applications. The redesigned font selector tool will allow users to bookmark their favorite fonts and synchronize them across all platforms, including the unique styles of specific font families.

Currently, if Microsoft Office users want to select a specific font, they have to scroll through a long list or manually enter its name in the search box, which is actually very inconvenient. Microsoft explained on the Microsoft 365 roadmap: The Microsoft Office modern font selector is a completely redesigned experience for Office.

In addition to being able to fix favorite fonts, the new modern font selector can also notify users of used, missing and embedded fonts in the document. Users will also be able to see from the Office fonts section which fonts are available on all platforms and do not need to be embedded in the document.

According to the Microsoft 365 roadmap, the refreshed font selector in Office will be launched in Microsoft Word later this month. This new feature is expected to help users save time when writing documents.
