New tool makes it super easy to install any Android apk package on Windows 11

The new built-in Android emulator for Windows 11 is equipped with the Amazon App Store, but it only provides about 50 Android apps. However, Windows 11 supports Apple’s dreaded sideloading, that is, the apk installation package can be executed and installed directly on the Android subsystem, but this process is quite complicated and requires the use of PowerShell and multiple command line entries. Now, an Italian developer Simone Franco has developed an application for the Microsoft Store, which is as easy as double-clicking on the apk.

WSATools has the following description:

Android’s Windows subsystem is an easy-to-use apk installer. -WSATools is a simple apk installation program, which is suitable for the Android subsystem of Windows 11. It has an intuitive design and gives users a sense of overall control.

It is characterized by:

  • APK file with an integrated explorer: double click and press the install button
  • APK installation becomes simple: just one click
  • No need to install ADB and understand its commands, WSATools is responsible for all
  • If you already have the platform-tools package in your path, it will directly call the package
  • More features are coming soon…

Of course, sideloading the apk does not solve the dependency problem of Google Play services. If your application requires it, it may still be easier to try to install the Google Play Store on Windows 11. If this is not a problem, then you can download WSATools from the Microsoft Store now.
