Windows 11 Android Subsystem 1.8.32822 Update

Microsoft previously announced that the preview version of the Android application running on the Windows 11 Android subsystem is now available to the Windows internal testers of the Beta and Dev channels. Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) has been listed on Microsoft’s Win11 application store before, and now it is ushered in the 1.8.32822 update, but the specific log is unknown, it is likely to enhance the stability.

The Windows 11 Subsystem for Android includes the Linux kernel and the Android operating system based on version 11 of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). The subsystem runs in the Hyper-V virtual machine, just like the Linux subsystem, it can map the runtime and API of the App in the AOSP environment to the Windows graphics layer, memory buffer, input mode, physical and virtual devices, and sensors. The Windows 11 Android subsystem supports the following new features:

  • Users can pin the Android App to the start menu or taskbar, and interact with them through mouse, touch or pen input;
  • Android App can also be integrated into the Alt + Tab tab and task view to help users quickly switch between apps;
  • Users can view notifications from Android apps in the operation center, or share the clipboard between Windows apps and Android apps;
  • Microsoft has also added an accessibility experience, and many Windows accessibility settings are applicable to Android apps.
