In WhatsApp, you can now create a group image yourself with emojis and stickers. The feature was previously in development, but it is now available with the latest beta version. We explain how it works.
WhatsApp Group Image
Compared to the other messaging service Messenger, WhatsApp’s personalization functions are very limited. The developers seem to realize this and that is why they have been working for some time on a system where you can create profile pictures for group chats. The feature is now available to you, provided you’ve signed up for WhatsApp beta in the Play Store.
As soon as your app is updated to version 2.21.23.15 you can start using this feature. To do this, open one of the groups that you manage yourself. Then press the menu with the three dots in the conversation and choose ‘Group information’. Then tap the current group images and tap the edit icon at the top. ‘Emoji and stickers’, the new way to edit your group image, can then be seen.

You can select a solid background color and then choose an emoji or sticker of your choice. It is also possible to get started with your own custom sticker packs, but the group image can never be animated, even if you choose an animated sticker. When you’re done editing, tap the checkmark to save. It is currently unknown when the feature will also be available for the stable version of WhatsApp.
