OnePlus announces the launch of Android 12 closed beta program for OnePlus 8 series

OnePlus has released the Android 12 beta for OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro, and it is now recruiting testers for the Android 12-based OxygenOS 12 closed beta update for OnePlus 8, 8 Pro and 8T. As part of this closed test (CBT), participants will be required to sign an NDA and are willing to erase all data on their phones, so users who sign up for the test are advised not to install the beta firmware on their main devices. In addition, the beta version often contains bugs that hinder the user experience.

If you are still interested, you need to meet the following requirements to be eligible to participate in CBT:

  • Are using OnePlus 8 series or OnePlus 8T devices
  • Is an active OnePlus community member
  • Willing to communicate with the OnePlus team on Telegram regularly and provide feedback
  • The CBT version is not an official version, it is still under development and testing. After updating to the CBT version, please be patient and tolerate its instability, and accept all the risks it may bring.

If you meet these requirements, you can now apply for the qualification for the packaging and testing here:

  • If you can’t wait to see Android 12 and OxygenOS 12, you may want to hurry up, because OnePlus currently only has 200 places for OnePlus 8T users and 200 places for 8 and 8 Pro users.

OnePlus promises to provide a gift to the best-performing members after the project ends. Since the company calls it a “short-term closed test project”, it can be expected that it will announce the open test plan for 8, 8 Pro and 8T in the coming months.
