According to the latest submission from Chromium Repository, the Google Chrome browser’s side panel currently includes reading lists, bookmarks, and Google Lens content output, but it may become more useful than this in the future because Google is planning to expand its features to include a side panel. The reading mode has been provided through a developer logo on the stable version of Chrome. Enabling this mode will display a simplified web page layout. But as the reader mode shifts to the side panel, users will be able to read articles on the side panel on the right, so that they can browse other websites at the same time to make better use of the Chrome main window.
The way the new reading mode works is quite simple, just click on the “side panel” located on the right side of Omnibox to open it. Then click on the “Reading Mode” tab and move it to the side panel. The new reading mode is currently available in Chrome Canary, which means it is currently only in development. But we are confident that Google will add this feature to the stable version of the channel in the near future.
