According to a sales data magazine, the global sales of Final Fantasy 15 under the developer Square Enix have exceeded 9.5 million copies, and it currently ranks fourth in the Final Fantasy series. (The first three are named Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 10 and Final Fantasy 8).
Final Fantasy 15 is the fifteenth official work of the Final Fantasy series. The demo version was released on March 17, 2015, and it was officially released on November 29, 2016, landing on PS4 and Xbox One platforms. The game tells the story of the kingdom of Noctis Lucis Keram, the prince of the Kingdom of Lucis.

Statistics from the magazine show that the Steam version of Final Fantasy 15 sold about 1 million copies, accounting for one-ninth of its total sales. However, according to SE, the MMO online games of Final Fantasy, namely Final Fantasy 11 and Final Fantasy 14 are still the two most profitable works compared to the above-mentioned series of console works that have sold millions of copies.
