Microsoft Xbox is assessing the relationship with Activision Blizzard, due to the latter’s workplace scandal allegations

Microsoft Xbox confirmed on Thursday that CEO Phil Spencer is evaluating the relationship with Activision Blizzard. Recently, Activision Blizzard is facing allegations of internal sexual harassment and violations of equal pay for equal work.

Spencer said in an email to employees that the Xbox leadership team was distressed and deeply disturbed by the terrible incidents and behaviors that occurred within Activision Blizzard. He said: Xbox and Microsoft leadership support our team and support them in building a safer environment for everyone.

A spokesperson for Activision Blizzard said the company is in contact and has discussions with partners. Activision Blizzard is known for developing games such as Call of Duty and Diablo, and recent accusations have led to the delay of the company’s game release and the departure of executives.

Earlier this week, it was reported that the CEO of Activision Blizzard was aware of some internal allegations of sexual harassment and sexual assault, but did not take measures. Subsequently, Activision Blizzard employees went on strike.
